Attack Ring: War Bear

Gimmick is an aggressive but free spinning SAR intended to prevent spin loss from wall collisions (a common "selling point" feature in earlier releases, given the lack of Tornado Ridges to prevent this) but somehow also hit opponents.
It doesn't work well for either (not at all for the latter).
Core AR: War Bear
Rounded, but still recoily in either direction, and not much power in either.
Spiked sections are fragile in right spin and can even still break in left spin
With Own SAR:
Free spinning offensive SARs tend to do nothing but create recoil, and in the case of War Bear SAR, stability issues, while being unable to land solid hits on opponents.
Not useful in this configuration
With Other SARs:
With smaller SARs, the fragility and recoil are both issues, as it is wide enough to protrude past the weight disk and its shape is recoil prone. As such, it is not useful with small SARs such as War Lion SAR or even War Monkey SAR
Acceptable in a competitive situation with Dragon Saucer SAR, particularly in Left Spin, however due to its width and more aggressive shape, it is outclassed by War Lion, War Monkey and Twin Horn (Hasbro) for this use.
Sub AR: War Bear SAR
Not useful without being fixed as it only serves to create recoil and cannot land hits.
Fixed in Place:
Can be fixed in place with certain AR and weight disk combinations (Ten Wide/Wide Defense oriented concave-up)
Angled poorly for right spin, which even when free spinning causes some stress on corners leading to breakage issues, and in this orientation the SAR has significant recoil issues which make it much less effective than in Left Spin.
However, the left-spin contact points are well angled, and while still a little fragile, they make for excellent Smash Attack contact points given their range and weight distribution. There are still some breakage issues with the tips shearing off however.
They do come loose over time as the lines underneath wear down, and some War Bear SARs (such as the Hyperblades version) have less secure raised areas on the underside, making them less suitable.
With Dragon Breaker:
Makes for a highly aggressive Attack Setup with excellent range, however the SAR can still slip. Both parts of the AR contribute to the effectiveness and the heavier weight goes some way to control recoil on bases like SG Metal Flat Base (Gaia Dragoon V Version)
With Great Dragon:
Great Dragon and War Bear SAR reinforce each others weight distribution and contact points almost perfectly.
Having both contact points aligned should help with breakage issues for both the Core AR and Sub AR, however the setup should still not be used in Right Spin due to War Bear having other fragility issues not helped by reinforcement and greater recoil in this Spin Direction.
Makes for a particularly powerful Left Spin Smash Attack combination with notable recoil but explosive power, making it a very competitive choice.
In Right Spin, Great Dragon's most powerful direction, War Lion's Sub Ring is a better choice both due to not being as fragile and for allowing Great Dragon to do more of the work itself.
Weight Disk: Eight Wide

Very light weight
Two molds, one with sharper edges used exclusively by Takara, and one with softer edges used by both Hasbro and Takara (after production moved to China, presumably). The Hard Edge mold tends to be heavier on average but there is huge crossover between them and the difference can largely be considered negligible. The soft edge mold also often has bumps, generally smaller than those on Ten-Series Weight Disks, at one or both ends, which theoretically could make for poorer balance, though the impact is negligible.
Wide weight distribution, albeit less so than Ten Wide, Wide Defense and Wide Survivor.
Minor use with Attack AR's whose contact points are obscured by wider weight disks (eg Double Wing), though these limitations inherently render them inferior to many other options, and overall the lighter weight of Eight Wide leaves it outclassed.

Incompatible with Neo Cores, and thus certain MagneSystem Blade Bases, though Wyborg's SG (Auto Change Version) SG Core Part can be used to allow use with some.`
Generally Neo Shells are preferred for their greater compatibility, mostly their ability to use Neo Cores. For Right Spin, this is particularly relevant with the Heavy Metal Core.
Generally uses a Metal Weight Gear with all compatible SG Cores. This gear helps reduce wobbling/rattling and adds a small amount of weight. It does not, however, work as a gear in any capacity.
Nonetheless, per BBA Survivor, BBA Attacker, BBA Defenser and BBA Balancer having Regular SGs but no Metal Weight Gear, it is not required for legality.
This allows Right Spin Gear Shells to produce the lightest SG setup in the game when using SG (Auto Change Version) and no metal Weight Gear.
Spin Gear Core: Regular SG Core Part
Note: The correct name for this part is "Gear" however this name is commonly used to avoid confusion with the Metal Weight Gear in standard SGs.
Small core part to fit into the Base and be clipped to by the Base Clips, holding the Beyblade together. Also used as a ripcord gear by Bearing Gyros Beyblades.
The plastic part is the second lightest of all Core parts, being just slightly heavier than Wyborg's SG (Auto Change Version) core part.
Incompatible with certain MagneSystem Blade Bases as the tip shafts are too wide for the hole in its base.
With Neo SG Shells, it creates one of the lightest setups, making for what is theoretically the best SG for most attack types not requiring a Neo core or their own shafts, though the difference is generally theoretical only, due to the minimal weight difference, and often going heavier is better for rotational recoil control.
Useful for completely optimizing a Spiral Change Base zombie (which are the only competitive stamina types that do not require a gimmicked SG), as cores are not useful for recoil control due to its low friction and the lighter weight in the centre slightly improves survival. Technically SG (Auto Change Version) may be superior as it does fit, but the difference is likely to be too small to measure.
Blade Base: SG Flat Base
SG version of Flat Base
Shortest base in plastics, which can make it an okay choice for Traditional Upper Attack.
Tip shape and material reduce effectiveness as it struggles to flower pattern effectively as well as having limited recoil control and average stamina.
Acceptable LAD which can be useful.
Outclassed by rubber and metal attack tips, but could be a fallback option for Attack.
Can be used for Compacts, but again is heavily outclassed.
Last use is similar to Flat Base in setups similar to Semi-Flat Base Stamina, primarily using Wide Defense and a Compact or smaller-sized Defensive AR, with SG choice depending on the desired effect. This can allow outspins or KOs against less competitive opponents.
In these setups, SG Flat Base has slightly poorer LAD than Flat Base, but has the ability to customize the SG, including use of Left Spin, though the lack of Left Spin Compact ARs with any real offensive ability does cause some issues here.
While the Sub AR is useful, BBA Attacker is usually just a more expensive Galzzly, and best left for collectors unless found cheaply.
